Thank you for the kindly offer of a free meal for us Vets.
You specify that we have to have a military ID in order to take advantage of your offer. The only problem is that there are many Vets around (myself included) who no longer have military ID. When we separated from the service, we were required to surrender our ID.
That does not in any way negate our service to the country. Perhaps a different way of identifying us? A copy of a DD 214? Honor system? Old BDU field jacket?
